Water changes done on the rain water tanks again today. Rain barrel froze before I could get more water down to the basement. I guess I will have to wait till it warms up to get more rain water again.

Got more rain water ran down to the basement today.

My 1 and only remaining display tank (55 gallon) is over run with MTS. So I have removed all but the guppies and gobies, and added 3 pea puffers, 3 spotted Raphael, 1 striped Raphael, and 2 clown loaches. I tried to catch and move as many of the assassin snails out of the tank first so they wouldn't get eaten. Hoping for the best and that I can get this tank back from the dreaded snails and back to being a display tank.

Replaced some of the led lights on the tanks with full spectrum ones. The fish started acting differently right away, better color, wanting to spawn, I am glad I made the switch.

Making a list of what I need to bring to the meeting this weekend, and just realized I haven't been to a meeting in 6 months or more :(. I think winter is just getting to hard on me.
If I am suppose to be bringing something to the meeting for you, please send me a message and remind me.

tanks either got a water change or topped off with cooler water tonight. Hopefully with it snowing and the cooler water some spawning will start happening in the fish room.

Just sent some fish to Madison with Troy. They are being taken to Animart for store credit. Haven't traded fish in with Animart since they moved from being over on High Crossing. I will be curious to see what I get for credit for 6 Pyxichromis orthostoma fry and 7 adult silver angels. This will be a trial run to see if I will continue to trade in fish with them or not.

Took the fish I borrowed from "madtown" back today so now I have some empty tanks to work with. Heading to the swap tomorrow with Sarah. Perhaps they won't stay empty for long ;)

With the fish that I bapped at the meeting today, I should now have all the C and D spawns that I need to advance to Grand Master 4. Now I just need lots of points.
Thank you Randy for the use of the parents to get the spawn.

Now, what to breed to get points?????

Major water change on the pond today. Drained it down as far as I could, added enough water to cover pump and drained again, repeated this process several times as there must have been several inches of sludge on the bottom. Troy was kind enough to get in there, once it was drained, and remove the plants so we could re-pot them(sort off), and get all the rocks that had fallen in back out. He helped get all the plants put back in, cleaned the filter, and I am refilling it right now. It will take a couple of hours to fill. We still need to rebuild part of the rock wall around the pond as one area was sagging and the rocks started falling in. I am hoping to have it very beautiful, I may be bias, again soon.

Water changes in the fishroom and a little fish tetris. Hoping to do more soon. Here's hoping some of the fish start breeding.

Water changes and a little fish tetris while it was snowing out. Hopefully April snowfalls make fish breed.

Water changes today, and moved a couple of pleco groups to different tanks hoping that will trigger a spawn.

Saw my first redwag swordtail fry today. Bought a group of 4 at the February (?) auction and thought they were all females, but one grew his sword about a month or so later and I saw 2 babies today during a water change.

Water changes on all the fish tanks today. Hoping some of the fish want to become mommies on mother's day. I saw a lot of breeding behavior after the water changes.
Rams are acting like they are guarding fry, but haven't seen any fry yet. Tropheus are doing a lot of chasing and shaking however I don't know if they are mature yet since they are just now losing their spots and haven't developed their white band yet. Other Tanganyikan's are doing a lot of chasing but not sure if they are old enough yet either. Cynotilapia afra I borrowed from Randy are showing interest but I think that group might be male heavy as I haven't had any breeding from them despite the behavior.. Still waiting on pleco's, seems like some of these take FOREVER to mature.

Started breeding some bn again, have probably 100+ fry already and just put them together in one tank about 2 months ago.
