I was wondering if anyone who may have kept this species might be able to give me a run down of your water quality, what you feed, and anything else you did to keep a helthy colony going.

I have a group of 8 that were purchased from a vendor at the last GCCA swap in Chicago and I just kinda wanna see what I am doing compared to others who have kept these and hopefully use that info to get my colony going!

Wonderful little livebearer, I've learned so far that these are HIGH ENERGY fish, litterally the spazziest most boisterous species I've experienced.

My experience with them is that they are not difficult to keep and breed in hard water. High energy for sure, so feed a lot. You can also slow them down a bit by keeping the temps in the mid to low 70's

Thanks Ted. I've been feeding two times a day so far, what do you lean towards in terms of food composition for these guys?
